Temperament : |
Pekingese have a tendency to bark a lot and therefore make good watchdogs, but they can be very brave little dogs almost to the point of foolishness! They can be sensitive, independent and extremely affectionate with their master, but are wary of strangers. They tend to be obstinate and picky with their food. This may be a sign of them trying to dominate their owner and can also be so loving they are filled with jealousy. They can be difficult to housetrain, but again this can be overcome with quality training |
