Miniature pinscher
The Miniature Pinscher has short, coat that usually comes in red, but can be found in black and tan or chocolate. This is a small, compact, muscular dog with square proportions. The Miniature Pinscher has straight front legs with their feet being small and almost catlike. Their teeth are of a scissor bite with their strong muzzle being in good proportion to the rest of their body. It always looks well groomed and tidy. They have large oval shaped dark eyes.

The Miniature Pinscher can be very demanding; they are very proud and sometime overly courageous. Strong in loyalty, high spirits and intelligence, it does think it is a lot bigger than it really is, and may bark quite a lot because of this. Hence it can be aggressive to other dogs and pretty good with children. With a spoilt upbringing it may become territorial and suspicious towards strangers. With a puppy course this breed will mature quickly. It is nicknamed the ‘the king of the Toys' so you do have to train this dog strongly especially with regards to house training. |
Health issues : |
This is a very healthy dog and this breed does not tend to suffer from specific breed related conditions other than occasionally hip problems. |
Exercise : |
Their playfulness is enough to keep them fit, they do like to run around, though keep fences high as they can become very ambitious in exploring. |
Life expectancy : |
These dogs can usually expect to live for around fifteen years or more. |
Grooming : |
Their short hair is easy to groom and should be combed with a firm bristle brush and bathe when necessary, it is an average shedder. |
